Offered as a complete solution with all the necessary hardware and software, MediaSolv VIS Lite is designed for easy installation by the customer or can be professionally installed by MediaSolv. MediaSolv VIS Lite is delivered with a high performance, network capable workstation which is optimized for managing video interviews and continuous operation in a police environment.
The workstation includes a built-in DVD burner for archiving digital media assets and can also be outfitted with DVD production station for departments with 4-6 rooms that require higher DVD output. Both video and audio are captured in broadcast quality, and synchronized and encoded using MPEG-4, an industry standard video compression standard. MediaSolv’s technology produces an audit trail identifying any future modifications and provides a tamper protection utility after the digital asset has been archived to DVD media. Subsequent access to the digital asset is controlled by a multi-tiered security model based on customer defined organizational hierarchy, user roles and permissions.
